The new marina is set in a high quality tourist development area, where green spaces take pride of place and only 29% of the overall area is set aside for construction, and the project is to includes hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, swimming pools, apartments, villas and an entertainment and leisure centre as well as a yacht club.

There are a number of Authorised PADI dive centre in Albufeira that offer a full range of courses from total beginner, wishing to breathe underwater for the first time, right through to becoming a Pro with a dive master including speciality courses. Experienced and friendly staff will suggest the best excursion for you at your level and will personalise you a dive to suit your experience. All dives are guided by a PADI professional.

Albufeira Marina as well as being the most sheltered marina in Europe offers seafarers and their vessels the most sophisticated support structures in addition to a personalised, friendly, professional and consistent service, as well as the necessary structures for the provision of quality support services.



There is a seventy-ton travel lift for vessels with a beam of up to 6.7 metres, a six-ton crane and eight repair berths run by qualified operators, as well as four larger workshops for major repairs.

The classic, external structure of the marina comprises two breakwaters, creating a bay with calm waters, essentially protected from the area's predominant SSW swell. As a result, calm access to the marina is ensured regardless of sea conditions.

The marina consists of an entrance channel, twenty-five metres in width, a section 1.6 hectares in size for large sailing vessels, and a five-hectare section for medium-sized vessels. Internet, Wi-Fi. water and electricity also from the marina reception are public telephone and Fax machine available.

The marina has 475 mooring berths for all classes of pleasure boats and is ideally located in geographical terms, right in the centre of the Algarve, very close to the exit of the motorway from Lisbon and 30km from Faro International Airport, Albufeira Marina offers all the necessary conditions to satisfy the most demanding sailor.



Albufeira once an obscure fishing village and now considered to be the most loved resort in the Algarve, and by no means has the old town lost its original charm, with cobbled side streets and main square aligned with retaurants, bars, shops and market stalls all leading down to the beautifal fishermans beach where you can relax and watch the sun go down.
